Each
year The International Exhibition of Inventions, New Products
and Techniques is held in Geneva, under the patronage of
the Federal Government of Switzerland. This Exhibition has
become the most prestigious of its type in the world, with
exhibitors from 44 countries attending, offering in excess
of 1000 products.
The International Jury, made up of some 60 specialists,
judge each New Product/Invention exhibited and selected
a number of them for prizes and awards.
Gledhill/Belfanti Productions have been the official Australian
delegates to this renowned exhibition since 1975. In 2001,
Bio-Assist Industries Pty. Ltd. was fortunate to be included
in the Australian companies which exhibited products for
the Exhibition. Peri-Foam, was presented and received two
outstanding awards:
The Gold Medal in Class 3 –
Cosmetics, Paramedical & Health
and The State of Geneva - which is the Second highest
award for the 2001 Exhibition.
This exposure has given Bio-Assist Industries
the opportunity to take Peri-Foam to the international market
place and show the world another winning Australian Product.
There are numerous people to thank, obviously too many to
name individually but without their support these awards
would not have been achieved. Firstly, Kathy Slater, Director
of Nursing (now retired) Woonona Nursing Home for conducting
the controlled trial and the staff for their encouraging
comments and support.
The Testimonials from the wonderful staff of Calvary Hospital
Kogarah, were part of the presentation at the Exhibition
and provided information to the judging panel that Peri-Foam
is a multi-use and effective product for use in Palliative
Care.
